Description
As a True Friends Camp Nursing Assistant you will assist the Camp Nurse in supporting the health and wellness of campers, staff, and volunteers through either our Day Camp or Overnight Camp program. You'll provide essential care, ensure safety, and promote overall well-being, making a meaningful impact on ever individual at camp. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead, mentor, and contribute to life-changing experiences in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Schedule: Seasonal, Early May - Late August 2026
Pay: $352-$401.50 per week based on tenure with True Friends, plus opportunity for end of summer bonus
Bonus Information:
6-7 weeks worked | additional $60 per week worked
8-9 weeks worked | additional $70 per week worked
10-11 weeks worked | additional $80 per week worked
12-14 weeks worked | additional $90 per week worked
Requirements: Resident or citizen of the USA, in ‘good standing’ with the organization and a live in summer camp staff member (excludes support staff)

How You'll Contribute:
- Provide for the health and safety of campers, staff, and volunteers
- Gain hands-on experiences addressing a wide range of physical and medical needs
- Assist with the preparation and administration of various medications
- Develop skills and readiness to work in a diverse healthcare settings
- Become an integral member of the healthcare team, providing high-quality care
Requirements
- Ability to pass an organizational background study
- 2nd-year nursing student or experience in assisted living, group home, or clinic settings
- Willing to step outside your comfort zone
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of others
- Able to support individuals with daily living skills
- Open to living and working in a communal setting
- Eager to take initiative and demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Flexible and adaptable in an ever-changing environment
- Highly valued, but not required: CPR/First Aid certified, Lifeguard certification, camping experience, experience with medication administration, prior experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Physical demands
- Ability to see, hear, and communicate verbally
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move continually during working hours
- Ability to feel objects and use fingers to operate tools and controls
