Parkland is opening a brand-new 56-bed Medical/Surgical Unit in October 2026, and we're looking for experienced Registered Nurses who want more than just a job. This is your opportunity to help establish the culture, shape best practices, and make a lasting impact from day one.
Our new unit features 20 double-occupancy rooms and 16 private rooms, caring for a diverse adult population with medical, surgical, and palliative care needs. What You'll Do
As a Senior Registered Nurse, you'll provide exceptional patient care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Deliver skilled nursing care and evaluate patient outcomes
- Coordinate care across the healthcare team
- Educate patients and families on treatment, recovery, and discharge planning
- Advocate for patients while respecting cultural, religious, and personal preferences
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Serve as a Charge Nurse and/or preceptor when appropriate
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice

Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Texas RN license or Compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Current BLS certification through:
- American Heart Association (AHA)
- American Red Cross (ARC)
- Military Training Network (MTN)
Preferred
Acute care nursing experience

Hiring Incentive Eligibility
To qualify for the $8,000 Hiring Incentive, candidates must:
- Have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Not be currently employed by Parkland
- Not have been employed by Parkland within the past 12 months
Requirements
Required
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Texas RN license or valid Compact RN license
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Current BLS certification through:
American Heart Association (AHA)
American Red Cross (ARC)
Military Training Network (MTN)
Preferred
Acute care nursing experience
