The primary functions of the Nursing Administrative Assistant are to provide ongoing support in answering and directing phone calls, filing, taking notes, and coordination of medical documentation and records management.
Responsibilities for Nursing Administrative Assistant
Assist HCS with maintaining currency of records on an ongoing basis. Maintain medical records, health plans, medical recommendations/authorizations and medication information for each program recipient as it pertains to the day habilitation service plans. Receive and direct phone calls, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, ensure all forms and consents are completed by individuals and their guardians. Obtain reports and approval of treatment plans from primary physicians; and ensure that records/documentation meets regulatory requirements. Meet or exceed regulatory requirements for CARF and Day Habilitation programming. Assist with updating monthly progress notes and semi-annual reviews. Manage inventory of medical supplies and nursing stations with appropriate supplies, assist with cleaning.
