Position Overview
Join us in the summer of 2025 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey at Interlochen. We are seeking attentive and reliable Camp Nurses who embody our core values and are committed to nurturing young artists, while fully immersing yourself in the unique environment that only a summer camp can offer. As a Camp Nurse, you will work with a team consisting of a Physician or Nurse Practitioner, Nurses, and Health Services Assistants to care for campers in one of three Health Centers. Camp Nurses coordinate care by delegating tasks to Health Services Assistants and serve as a consultant when needed.

Make decisions about dispensing OTC medications per protocol
Consult with Providers as needed
Draw labs (training provided), and perform other duties as required to serve the population

Experience and Skills
What You Need
Availability for 3 or 6 weeks at various times of day and week to help provide 24-hour coverage (shifts are 8 hours in length). We prefer a minimum of a 3-week commitment throughout the summer (06/10/25 - 08/04/25).
Prepared to live in a residence hall room. While we offer accessible housing accommodations, please note that due to the rustic nature of our camp, these options are limited.
The ability to use electronic medical records and email is required
Experience in school, camp, or pediatric nursing and working with children aged 8 - 18 years preferred
Good pediatric assessment skills, flexibility, the ability to work well with a team, and the ability to make independent decisions are essential
Current Michigan license as an RN/LPN, CPR certification, documentation of a negative TB test or chest x-ray within the last 12 months prior to the contract start date
