Company Profile
Company Overview
CMS was founded in 2001 by nursing leaders who worked as agency nurses and believed there was a better way. They recognized that agency nurses were a critical part of healthcare and that continuous improvement was imperative for the highest quality patient care. They also experienced poor agency advocacy, inaccurate pay, inadequate assignment preparation, and lack of clinical support. This context ignited their passion to create an organization capable of delivering extraordinary experiences for healthcare professionals and for the facilities they serve.
Today’s healthcare administrators are compelled to consider alternative delivery models, while continuing to demand high standards of clinical and professional excellence. Anticipating this challenge, CMS was acquired by American Surgical Professionals in January, 2018, establishing the American Medical Staffing network. This partnership created a broader range of capabilities & service models, expanded geographic access, and increased investment in the technologies that benefit clients and healthcare professionals.
Two decades later, CMS remains an industry leader, proactively anticipating change and implementing staffing solutions. The constant in this evolution has been its values and quality standards under the continuing leadership of the founding nurse.
