Three aligned organizations comprise our enterprise. The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association is a 501(c)6 organization established in 1986 as the national professional organization representing the specialty of palliative nursing, which includes hospice and palliative nurses. With more than 10,500 members, we support the profession through education programs, research initiatives, and advocacy. The Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center, a 501(c)6 organization, is the only organization that offers specialty certification to the hospice and palliative nursing team. Over 18,000 health care professionals hold HPCC credentials that establish a professional commitment to safe, ethical, and evidence-based care. The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that provides professional development opportunities to qualified members of the hospice and palliative care team.
