Company History

Established by Congress on May 13, 1908, the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps is a distinguished branch of the U.S. Navy that has provided critical combat, operational, and humanitarian healthcare for over a century. Since its inception, the Corps has evolved from a pioneering all-female cadre to an integrated, modern workforce of thousands.
Today, the Navy Nurse Corps consists of both active duty and reserve personnel, representing more than 20 advanced clinical specialties. In addition to staffing major military medical centers, they deploy worldwide aboard hospital ships (like the USNS Comfort and USNS Mercy), with expeditionary units, and during humanitarian and disaster relief missions.
